We’re seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Project Manager to lead and oversee commercial flooring projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes initiative, and is eager to be hands-on in every aspect of project execution—from planning and coordination to client communication and final closeout.

Responsibilities

  • Use industry-specific software to perform accurate takeoffs and estimates.
  • Prepare and manage submittals, shop drawings, and required documentation for project approvals.
  • Develop project schedules in coordination with clients and internal teams to meet critical milestones.
  • Track and manage revisions (e.g., Bulletins, RFIs, field changes) and maintain project documentation.
  • Procure materials and plan logistics in line with project timelines.
  • Establish labor budgets and create work orders within approved estimates.
  • Prepare and submit monthly project billing and progress payment applications.
  • Coordinate installation teams based on project complexity, skill requirements, and availability.
  • Generate shop drawings and detailed work orders for field teams execution.
  • Ensure timely and efficient material delivery through coordination with the logistics department.
  • Represent Axis onsite—oversee labor productivity, jobsite professionalism, and quality control.
  • Ensure jobsite safety protocols and installation standards are upheld.
  • Attend client & Job meetings and provide solutions to project-related challenges.




Requirements

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

• Familiarity with other software Callidus, Salesforce, Sage.

• Ability to read and interpret commercial blueprints and construction documents.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills; polished and professional demeanor.

• Highly organized with keen attention to detail.

• Adaptable and resourceful—able to prioritize tasks and solve problems independently.

• Team-oriented and collaborative mindset.

• Self-starter with strong follow-through.

• Proven experience in project management or a related role.

• Stable employment history with strong professional references.

• Familiarity with commercial flooring or interior construction materials is a plus (not required).
